工欲善其事，必先利其器  

To do a good job, an artisan needs the best tools.

 天下無難事，只怕有心人

Nothing in the world is hard for one who sets one's own mind to it.  

牛不飲水，不能按牛頭低

[idiom] You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him  drink.

 以小人之心，度君子之腹  

to unfairly judge a noble person with one's own despicable mind  

成人不自在，自在不成人  

If people want achievements, they must work hard for it and not sit  there doing nothing.  

來說是非者，便是是非人

[proverb] Who chatters to you will chatter of you.  

知之為知之，不知為不知

to admit what one truly understands and what one does not know  

無風不起浪，無火不生煙

everything must have a cause

 禍兮福所倚，福兮禍所伏

Good fortune follows upon disaster and disaster lurks within good  fortune.
